Melisande, The Lady of the Swamp

Little is known about the mysterious lady of the swamp. She is the current owner of the Dawnbreaker. The sword was conquered by Yasmine Eugenie, a forgotten dragonborn who used it to create a magic to open a portal to another land. Yasmine is also the founder of the Coven of the Eight, a coven of eight main witches who believes the life is more than aedra and daedra.

To be able to open the portal, the fifth witch must dedicate her life to worship the unknown mother godess and must be pure in heart. Melisande comes to the Mundus only at night, when the network between the parallel universes align.

The swamp of Hjaalmarch is the only place that she appears in the world. The few who doesn’t know about the coven that saw her created terrible stories about a lady who seduces men to death, what makes men fear her.
